Could it be that Minear is the Problem?

Watching "Our Mrs. Reynolds" last night I found that the premise of the episode and ESPECIALLY the dialog was leaps and bounds better than last week's "Bushwacked". So I went to see what the writer credits were for both episodes, and what I found wasn't surprising at all: Whedon wrote "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and someone else (Tim Minear) wrote "Bushwacked".

If you read my little writeup below about "Bushwacked" you already know that I had some real problems with motivations between the characters, and the whole "Reavers make you a Reaver" thing.

I'm interested to see if the only decent episodes are going to come from the pen of "The Joss" himself, and all the rest of the episodes are going to just be filler in between. If that's the case, then we have a pretty long road ahead. The next 4 eps don't look to be even touched by Mr. Whedon. :(

Here's hoping that the next episode keeps the momentum from last night's.
