Can anyone tell me what the 2nd song they use in the full trailer is. The song after Kasabian.

It starts off "Somebody say hell yeah, somebody say (come on)".

It's Overseer - 'Skylight'

Whedon on the preview screenings

No idea where this came from but it seems very Joss-ian so I don't know why I should suspect it isn't...

I found this on BKV.tv but I don't know how it ended up there. While the guy is friends with Joss I get the impression that it's probably from another board post, rather than Whedon spamming his personal e-mail contacts (unless he's that assured about Serenity ^_^). Anyone have a clue? It's not from a post on Whedonesque as best as I can tell.

It gets better.

As thus: The movie is very nearly
finished. You've seen many pretty images in the trailer. But I've still got work
to do and you've still got months before you can see it.

They took the sky from me.

Well, I just found out about the Serenity screening this morning, and I've been on the phone trying to reach someone at the theater since 7, to no avail. I'm figuring all the tickets are gone by now, especially since Fandango keeps telling me to get lost.

So here's my question: Any Browncoats out there in the Boston area manage to secure tickets to this shindig? I need two of 'em and I'd be willing to pay a hefty price. Plus, I'd be much obliged.

Boston tickets update

According to many on the official Browncoats site the Boston link is just trouble all the way around. I can't find a single person who has secured tickets yet, which is a good sign. I'm going to call Fandango customer service after their offices open at 11 a.m., and keep trying Boston Common until I get an actual person. If anyone out there in Boston manages to get tickets this morning, please update the rest of us.

Best of luck!

There seems to be a lot of this going around, but... I live in Austin and I got a ticket to the May 5 screening. Sadly, my friends are all too slow and missed out. As much as I desperately want to see Serenity, I don't think it would be as fun without my fellow obsessees (yes, I made that up). So... if anyone has a ticket (or a few tickets) they don't want to use, would you be willing to sell them? Otherwise, I will end up selling mine. There's no reason to waste it when there are so many fans out there!

Update: One of my friends was quick enough to get a ticket. I will most likely be going, though I hate for my other friends to miss out. So if you have any tickets to spare, please let me know. By the way, if everyone here keeps commenting that they didn't get tickets, who in the heck bought them all?

Update on BOSTON: Just contacted Boston Common and the guy there said that he couldn't help out with Fandango issues, nor could he sell tickets over the phone. But he said we could come down there and buy them at the theater after 12:30. Unfortunately, I'll be at work, but hopefully I can get Fandango's customer service on the phone after 11 a.m. More updates to come.

I'm sure that everyone is sick of these postings, but if anyone has tickets for either Sacramento or San Francisco that they don't want, please let me know (either by commenting here or emailing).

I love the trailer. Just needed to get that out.

I'm wondering if they're going to develp the relationship between Kaylee and Simon that was budding? Or if the whole incestual possibility bit may resurface? Hmm, things to wonder, things to ponder, things to make me think.

And I'm extending an offer I saw on here earlier: Anyone in the MD/Carroll County area want to have a marathon with me? =]
Jjong is too short

Okay, so I've had the run around all morning but right now the consensus is I cannot attend the Atlanta showing because apparently so many folks bought online while fandango was still up this morning that the few left that got sold at the theatre were gone fast. Does anyone have a SINGLE spare ticket, I will pay more than the cost, anything to get to see the film. It was going to be on my 21st birthday before it got delayed and I don't wanna miss this chance. Anyone who can let go of one would make this my best birthday ever! Thanks a million! If I don't get to make it - the rest of you enjoy it! Stay shiny!

So it seems, at first glance, that the movie will deal fairly extensively with Simon, River, and whatever was done to River by the Blue Sun corporation. Now, that was one of the great unanswered questions of the show, so it makes sense they'd get into it. But I wonder if that will be the pattern for the first few films: dealing with the leftover issues of the show. Will the second movie deal with Book and his questionable past? Or the gradual evolution of Jayne into a hero-type? Or Mal and Inara's will-they/won't-they relationship?

10 Atlanta tickets available as of 4:20pm

No, really. A friend of mine just called from the theater and got us our tickets. According to the box office guys, Fandango considers 80% of available seats "sold out." They were manually printing (and counting) tickets not five minutes ago.

You must go to the theater box office to get the tickets. So if you still wanna see the "Special Advance Preview - May 5" get going. Traffic on I-85 northbound is clear for the moment.

Another trailer viewer here...

I've waited for months, as have many of you. I've wished. I've hoped. I've dreamed. And, finally...

It's here. Well, a little piece of it, anyway.

The whole crew...Mal, Zoe, Wash, Jayne, Book, River, Simon, Kaylee... They're back.

Yep. Teary eyes. I'll be watching all the eps again, probably this week.

My favorite bit? A "Wash moment":

Mal: "Define 'interesting'."
Wash: "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die?"

I'll be the first in line on September 30th. You better gorram believe it.

I bow in reverence to Joss, the cast, and the crew of "Firefly" and "Serenity". You all rock. Hard.

Oh...And, any other Austinites want to do a Firefly marathon sometime soon?

what else...the Firefly theme running through my head!

A request. :O

Hey, all! Wasn't the trailer amazing? I need to take some more screenshots so I can make more icons. :D It seems to make the movie farther away, though. Ah, well. September will arrive.

On that note, I'm sure a few people here HAVE managed to get tickets to the pre-screening. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say that I don't want Serenity spoiled for me. At the same time, I don't want to take the Firefly comm off my friends list, because there's some neat stuff here! (I probably would have missed the trailer yesterday, had I not been reading!) Anyway, I know this is common knowledge, but JUST IN CASE!

This is just a friendly reminder to make sure you put all the juicy stuff about the movie behind a cut. <3 I'm not jealous, and I'm happy for the people that get to go, but I don't suppose I'll be very happy if I happen to spot River's past all nicely typed up on my friends list for the world to read.

And just so this post isn't completely pointless, I did a couple ink-doodles at work today, of Kaylee, River, Wash, and a Reaver.

Bye bye bandwidth.

If I've only learnt one thing from Fandom (other than, how to find the best crack) it's how to obsess over a Trailer. I know everyone is going to do this but I cannot resist. Also x-posted to my journal.
I have a .zip file here of all images.
I'm not sure if the link above is working for people, so: http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=06KRVW2Y5SS4I3B8Y62SD8EZ44 might work better.
