Ephiny- Amazon Queen

(no subject)

Well, it is Friday and Serenity is out. I have not acheived my goal of finishing the series by today. Believe me if I owned it I would have been done a long time ago but alas I have to see it through Netflix. ANYWAYS. I am going to give my opinion, and just some little thoughts on the episodes I watched on Wed, Thurs. "Shindig, Safe, Our Mrs. Reynolds, Janyestown"

OH ALSO, I am very curious about something. Firefly is such a great show and I am having a hard time figuring out why it was cancelled. I guess ratings? I think it must have been advertising because hell, I watched fox a few years ago and I had NEVER heard of Firefly until I saw a preview for Serenity and thought it looked great and then discovered that it was based on a tv series. ANYWAYS.... for you people that watched Firfly from the beginning can you tell me what TIME and what DAY of the week it was on?

Alrighty, onto my short reviews of the episodes!

#4 Most Requested Movie?? Serenity!

I woke up to search for showtimes for Serenity this morning on Moviefone.com, and look!

Serenity is #4 for most requested movie!!! Already!

For anyone who doesn't use My Netscape as a home page, if you have the movie box listed on your home screen, this list of the Top Ten Requested Movies is ALWAYS there. This is a very, very prominent move for Serenity!!! Woohoo!!

ARGH!

I won't be able to see 'Serenity' because none of the theatres in my area are showing it and I can't get to the one area that is showing it.

Two Things

If anyone could answer these I'd appreciate it.

1. Is Serenity a continuation of the series or does it just condense everything that happened in the tv show and add a little more to make the movie?

2. Anyone know where I can download the Firefly theme song?

Stumbeled over this on the net. I'm sure some of you have already seen the article, but here goes..

(Here it is)

Cross my fingers the stupid cinema will put Serenity on it's screeninglist. It's not coming here until December 2nd.. Gorram!

Just had a kind of Aha! moment

I knew I'd seen the husband of Lynette on Desperate Housewives before! It was an Episode of firefly! Bushwacked I think...man! I couldn't figure it out! Sorry to be y'know completely ot, but I figured some one here would say something comforting like "Duh Kitty, that was discussed a year ago..sheesh!"

Everyone here is so great at the graphics stuff, I thought I'd see if anyone might have what I'm looking for. (I aplogize if it's something that someone has posted before.) I'm looking for the Serenity "logo" - the circle with the Chinese character in the center with the word "Serenity" across it. I've been able to find it without the word, but I'm really looking for it with that. I could probably dig around and find someone's user icon with it on there, but I'm really looking for it larger. Can anyone point me to it/happens to have it handy?

Thanks!

Firefly & Serenity Cast Interview: A Special Video Feature

“Did we expect this to become an international phenomenon when we started Firefly? Wow… I didn’t. I thought we were just making a humble little television show and it’s, well, it’s grown into this. I’m overwhelmed by this. I’m almost speechless and words can’t describe how wonderful this is - for all of us. To have been shot down and then resurrected, it’s just great! Thank you for helping us do that. All of you.” – Adam Baldwin.

Extra Seattle tickets for September 30?

I've already posted here, but I was wondering if anybody had a spare? Apparently the Meridian 16 is sold out for the 7:30 show.

A friend of mine started watching the show Friday night, and apparently watched something like 9 consecutive episodes (he'll be watching Objects in Space tonight).

I'll be your friend...

PS: Sorry if this is not the right place, but I figured posting here made at least as much sense as posting in the Seattle community.

Not sure what other people are doing for the release of Serenity, but as we are Browncoats of limited means (and limited access to anything remotely cool), we decided to do simple iron-on t-shirt designs for the release.

As LiveJournal Browncoats, I thought the rest of you might appreciate the design I started for my shirt. If any of you would like to use it, you're welcome to, but please credit me.

Fan Fest

Has anyone heard why Joss Whedon suddenly cancelled his appearance at the Universal Studios Serenity Fan Fest on the 24th? I was really disappointed that he couldn't make it. I just hope that it wasn't because something terrible happened...
