Star Wars Whedon

Hey everyone. I had had just seen footage of the "Star Wars Kid" the other day. Here's a ref's for those who haven't heard of Ghyslain Raza.

And then I was watching "Journey" from the euro-release of Serenity and noticed this:

Man. Joss is hysterical. Being new to the Firefly universe, thank goodness I was fortunate enough Serenity trailer months in advance to look up what was everything was about.

I hadn't realized at the time that it was based on Firefly and headed out to pick up the dvd set, which seemed to be sold out everywhere. After watching the entire season it broke my heart to find out that fox had aired them in the wrong order and it was canned (damn you fox!). While Buffy and Angel continued to live on WB, then UPN(gag) a genius idea like Firefly slipped out of our view. But thanks to all of your suport for the BDM happened, and a special thank you to some special browncoats that hooked us up with screening tickets!

Thanks for fighting the good fight.

By the way. Any New York Browncoats on here? Looking to read up on a forum.

This will lead me to some very dark places...

Hi guys,

As I posted earlier, I'm working on an essay detailing the celebrity phenomenon surrounding creators in the sci-fi fantasy genre, with particular focus on Joss Whedon and George Lucas. The essay is exploring how the celebrity of these two men shapes Star Wars and the Whedonverse (Firefly, Buffy, Angel, etc) fandom, and how the fandom shapes their celebrity. I'm going to include a selection on fanfiction, and I was wondering if any of you know of fic that either slots Joss or Lucas into the world of their creation, or features fans interacting with them in a fic context. If any of you can provide links to this kind of fic, please let me know - I've found some, but there always seem to be archives that don't turn up no matter how carefully you search.

Thanks for your help!

River's feet!

I'm not usually one to be making icons, but I saw this picture and thought, "I don't think I've ever seen a 'River's feet' icon before!" And considering that in some episodes it seems like River's feet get more screen time than Wash and Inara combined...I think an icon was somehow needed.

Therefore I give you River's feet.

Also, having thought about this subject long enough...I now realise that the word "feet" is a very funny word. Just keep saying it. Feet feet feet feet feet...see? :D

Anyhoo...uhh...yeah, feel free to spread River's feet all over LJ. Comment and credit if you so desire, but it's not required or anything.

See you 'round the 'verse.

I was wondering if anyone had a link to the extended Firefly gag reel. I noticed someone asking about the one for Serenity, but I saw someone made a vid with footage from the extended Firefly one. If someone would eb kind enough to link me, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks :D

EDIT: Thanks everyone... wow this is priceless... *goes to watch it again*

I just watched Serenity (pilot ep) with the commentary on and I'm not sure I've EVER laughed so hard! Again, it inspired my icon ;)

Joss + Nathan = Hilarity

I also had never noticed the blooper before (I've seen Serenity about 5 times)when they show Wash after loosing the Reevers and he's pretending to be holding the "steering wheel", but is actually holding nothing :)

I know I'm among the minority who hadn't heard this, but I just have to say that even if you're not a fan of commentaries (which I'm not) you'll enjoy this one. I then tried to watch The Train Job with the commentary, but it just wasn't as good. I can't wait to hear the others :)
