The L.A. Equality Now Serenity screening last evening was a good time, and it was nice to see some of the people from the Flanvention again.
Today, however, I went to the L.A. Film Festival's screening of Death of the Electric car, and there was where I saw her, smiling on the red carpet: Our very own River Tam. I was with a friend of mine who was wearing a Blue Sun t-shirt that he had gotten at the Equality Now screening, and so I yelled, "Summer!", pointed at my friends shirt, and smiled at her. She saw the shirt, recognized it, waved and smiled back. After standing around looking at her for a bit more as she was photographed, we decided to run off and tell my Mom about our Summer Glau sighting, but when we returned, she had disappeared.
I usually don't get google-eyed when I see celebrities, but it was Summer. I guess I just couldn't hold in my excitement.
